Confirming Console Emulator Not Responding To Multi-track Editing [working tonight!]
I know there's other threads about this. I couldn't readily find one so I'm putting this new thread... My apology... It seems that in both x3e and SPlat, selecting multiple tracks to commonly adjust this module are no longer working at all. Previously, they were clunky, but I could get this to work... No longer... Other modules all appear to be behaving...? Anyone else? Need this be bug reported? Keni

I am not exactly sure what the problem is. The test I created on Platinum: New Project In Track view, Add 3 audio tracks (note the CE is in my default track PC). CTRL+A to select all tracks With CTRL held down, change the CE to A-Type, gain to 2 o'clock, drive to 2 o'clock, tolerance on Confim all track CE changes Worked OK.

Hmmm...
It isn't working here... I did the same last night... Rebooted and tried again but only the one track responded to the changes...
I thought I read of others finding the same issue only with CE?
I'll try again tonight... Maybe it was operator mistake and I wasn't seeing why?
We're you also able to enable the all this way? I remember I was having such issue previously if the module wasn't alreay enabled...?
Thanks scook...

While the CEs were quick grouped (step 4), I failed to mention powering on the CEs before setting the type.

I've just created an empty project and added 16 audio tracks. All have the CE loaded by default, but inactive. Selecting all channels (so the blue light thing is on in the track header for on all of them) then CTRL-clicking the CE on/off switch, changing from the default S mode to N and enabling the tolerance switch on one channel results in all the channels having an active N-mode CE with tolerance on. So it seems to work as expected for me as well....

When I checked this under the other thread, quick grouping the On/Off switches did not work, but once they were all enabled individually, then quick-grouping other settings worked okay: http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3192000 This would have been under the Braintree release.

I only tested Cambridge and the quick grouped CE on/off switch works for me. Also just tested in Console View, was previously tested in Track View.

Keni, review the rules in documentation regarding quick grouping and track focus/selection.

Thanks Gang...
I don't know what's changed here...
Hmmm I'll investigate more this evening.
I remember the issue of first enabling them, but it wasn't necessary to individually enable them... It simply had to be done first as the other settings would not auto activate it. Once it was enabled on all tracks it would then work with ctrl grouping...
Right now it's not working at all for CE though it works for my other PC devices...? Or at least I couldn't make it work last night...
Having a senior moment right now trying to remember if this is in SPlat (DAW) or X3e (laptop)... <sigh>... Excuse me...
I understand how to use ctrl-grouping to and it does work for me elsewhere as it mostly worked for me until this experience...
My laptop battery just ran out so I can't verify which system I was experiencing this with until later when generator is on... My apology... I will post more about this later...
Thanks everybody for checking this with me...

Quick grouping the enable buttons does seem to be working okay in Cambridge for whatever reason, but you can still get in trouble if you don't do that first on all the tracks on which you want to sync up Emulator settings.

Ok...
So I'm crazy...
The other night I couldn't get it to work on either x3e or SPlat...
Tonight it's working on both...
Are we supposed to be able to group-replace modules? I couldn't get that working in x3e tonight...
I imported a song begun on 8.5.3 and all my tracks got Console Emulator Bus versions...
I selected all the tracks then held ctrl while clicking through replace module and selecting Console Emulator Channel... I gave up after the third try and did each track manually...
What must I get intermittently doing wrong?
