Twisted Tunes - "Ignorant Man"

Back some 25 years ago, the local radio station (98ROCK in Baltimore) began running "Twisted Tunes" which were parodies of songs, and some were incredibly well done. In the past few months I went on a search for these, and found that most were done by a DJ in Seattle. The one I was trying to find ("Ignorant Man" - based on Billy Joel's "Innocent Man") had a bad link, but showed up in a list of "Parodies better than the original," so I saved the link and moved on. I think this was the first one I ever heard and was hilarious.

Today I happened to be running down links and checked this one again, and it has been fixed. In case no one has ever heard these, it is worth sharing (this one was the most memorable of the handful I caught on the radio in those days):

    Pretty darn funny!

In Australia around the 1980s I heard these types of comical music parodies from one particular band (can't remember their name), they're from the US.  Anyway, extremely talented and funny, great music to listen whilst in Colorado one particular song I remember was about a 'one ball man off to the rodeo', profanity included.

Ah, found it on Y/Tube HERE < Warning: Adult Content > Country music won't ever be quite the same anymore after listening to that parody!

Bob Rivers is a local legend out here in the upper-left corner of the map, having just recently retired from a long career in local personality-based radio. Bob's still, AFAIK, playing keyboards with another local institution, an oldies cover band called Spike and the Impalers

Was listening to this again this morning and there was a link under it to 3 girls (14, 12, and 9) from Mexico who made a band to raise money to attend the Berklee College of Music summer program. Very neat video ("Enter Sandman" and they have more covers linked when that finishes): http://www.957thejet.com/articles/rock-news-104703/young-girls-perform-enter-sandman-flawlessly-13480085/?cmp=obinsite

Forget cat pictures...that is a whole new level of cute. I'll be showing that video to my 10-year-old granddaughter when I see her this weekend. Also check out their interview video. When asked who they admire most, they listed Brian May, Lars Ulrich, Neal Peart and Paul McCartney. Smart kids.

Yeah, that was my reaction as well. I probably should have thrown them into a new thread. They are definitely inspired by theirs parents' music, and are definitely trying to emulate very good choices for their instruments.

The other thought that came to mind is that these kids are very serious, and busting their butts to go to Berklee's summer program (which is a little more than a stone's throw from Cakewalk HQ). These three would be a prime candidate for Gibson/Cakewalk to sponsor (for summer school of all things)... hell, Daniela already plays a LP!! Really cannot get better PR than that.

Good grief... I went on a search for the song in the OP and the first hit was this thread. At least I put the link in with it since Google cannot seem to find it otherwise. Weird.

I don't get it.  How is being *ignorant* at all connected to being *rude*? *Arrogant Man* would be more like it, no?
