SPlat: Is there any way to change the order of devices in the PC Modules list?
Hi Gang...
So,
SPlat: Is there any way to change the order of devices in the PC Modules list?
The entries are each so large (making room for the pics I imagine) that it places one I use often off-screen...

Thanks Jonesey...
I suspected that but thought it couldn't hurt to ask...
Too bad... As we accumulate more PC modules, grouping them and ordering them is becoming more of an issue...
I think I'll post a FR regarding the lust...

This has been mentioned a few times, Keni. I think a way to save some kind of a "Favorites" order would be helpful. Definitely a subject for Feature Request forum. GSwitz pointed out that his most used module was the FXchain, and that always appears last of all. I have lost count of PC modules on my system now (with the Overloud, Boz and Sotube ones), so would like this a lot. Having said that, whilst scrolling down to my favourite module, I have sometimes seen another and thought "Oh, that might work, I had forgotten that one".

I totally know what you mean... And I love having the icons as I id that even faster than reading names... So a customizable menu system with small/large icon/widget-height choice would really go a long way... Keni

I think having the ability to scroll with the mouse wheel versus having to use the little triangles would help the workflow.

I am yet to try putting the dlls in folders like other plugins to see if that works. Hoping to get Cakewalk, Boz, Softube, Overloud etc folders as per the VST2 and VST3 folders. Been meaning to try it for a while now but not at my DAW right now.

Hmmm... I'll have to try that tomorrow night to see if it works for me as well... That may be a little easier, but still not the solution I'd prefer... Thanks... Keni

Nice idea... It would be great if it could be that simple... Post your findings for sure... Thanks mudgel! Keni

I just tried putting the plugins in folders. They are already mostly in folders so I put them in another folder which didn't make any difference. When I went to make my notes I found a not describing how I'd tried this before. Just getting too much stuff to keep track of. I also can't make my mouse scroll wheel work on that list.

Please just give us menus like normal plug-in menus (maintainable in the Plug-In Manager too) and drop the graphics completely!
