How to visually know the current value of a controller in PRV?

Could Sonar show the current values of the controllers in this way?

Hey Rogerio! Thanks for changing the title and content of your post... Things are bad enough around here (sometimes) without someone inadvertently providing flammable material............

As to your question, not that I know of. But then again, I almost never use PRV.

Is there a better interface than the PRV to edit MIDI in detail, visually?

Guess I missed the first version. But I'm not sure I understand. When you say "current" value, do you mean the value at the Now time? I don't see that happening in the screenshot. Or do you just mean you want colorization in addition to the height?

Well, it depends on your preferences/capabilities, but Staff View, despite it's quirks, works for me.
Stuff about Staff View for X2:

Stuff about Staff View for X3:

The above examples aren't Platinum, but you get the idea. This is for MIDI note data, though.

As you can see in the image below, my last (current) CC11 value is, say, 100. I'm viewing the bar to 1-4.

Now I move forward, I want to keep entering values for CC11. But what was the last value? I am required to manually search up to visually find the last value, I have to click it for PRV show me the value, I have to remember, I have to go back to my current measure and have to manually enter another CC11 precisely not to give distortions.

All this would be easily resolved if there was this model (Cubase style) that "paints" the current value of the controller so that I always know at what point it is.

Thanks Erawax, but Staff View is quite limited when you need a precise editing of MIDI, where you have to work with ticks, multiple simultaneous tracks, several controllers, etc.
That is the purpose of PRV.
The only regret is having to live with this limitation of PRV that consumes me a considerable time and also induces me to make mistakes.

Ah, the perfect excuse to upgrade to new SONAR! Controller lanes now display a "shadow" extending to the right of the controller event that persists until the next controller event changes its height. Gotta be a pic somewhere around here.

Here's a quickie example:

Yes, it's one of the various MIDI PRV improvements.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for a long time!
But where active this format in Sonar X3?

It's not in X3. It's part of the various MIDI enhancements in the new SONAR.

I know it is not the PRV but the events list is very informative.

Yes, Event List is informative, but not useful for visual edition, as PRV.
And from what I saw, the only way to get what I'm asking, is to go to the new Sonar ... again ...

TBH I'm never really spent the time looking at the new "improvements" however I did upgrade from X1 Producer, so there is probably a lot under the hood I'm unaware of.

I have computer stuff.
