Hello Cakewalk friends

it has been along while since I have been around these forums ....
In the beginning of 2015 I moved . The place I have now is a much nicer apt than the last one I lived at ...
it sure cost a lot more a month so to make this move happen,  I had to ditch the cable and home internet bills for the time being...
lucky for me that the public library is only a couple of miles up the road....
this message  is just a quick shout out to say hello and let you know that my dog Duke and I are much happier where we live now
Kenny

PS I hope to be back soon

Oh Yeah , Life is Good .
The internet is nothing more than a glorified real time cartoon we all star in.
I play a "Gibson " R 8 Les Paul Cherry Sunburst .
The Love of my Life is an American Bulldog Named Duke . I'm currently running Cakewalk By BandLab as my DAW .

When I lived on Nantucket, this was a regular sight, except with full sized houses on the back of trucks. If you were late for work in the morning and got stuck behind one of those mo-fo's, you were screwed

Hi Rain,
it is pretty simple , I didn't have any blowouts or run ins w anybody .....so I have no RUB's or drama on the back burner here that I know of  ...my basic monthly bills went up a lot .
By posting this thread  I wanted to let people know that I'm still fond of many of the SONAR Forum characters I've gotten to know over the years .....

Hi sharke ,
yes it has been about  ...3 + months.....dare i  say living cave man style
this has actually been good for me ....
all my music gear is still packed away ( not set up ) got to figure that one out in due time .....
anyway, since I do have a lot of time on my hands w very few distractions ....my guitar playing has been going to a few musical places that have even surprised me..... its all good man ...

Yikes Ed , I sure hope my car don't see that post ....when it is well behaved , I could count on it to be a two way car , now it is starting to act like a one way car ....LOL

That would be a pain, being stuck in a long line of traffic - behind a freaking house.

I guess some folks (pictured) thought; stuff-this, can't bring the lake view to the house, then we'll just have to carry the darn house to the lake front.

Hi Kenny. I've always wondered about your avatar and the Tele Jazz connection. Is there a wink and a nod in there? Good to see you!

Hello jbow,

My first real good guitar was a Fender Telecaster that I ordered brand new from a music shop sometime around 1970ish .....since that day I have always played Telecasters as one of my primary go to guitars ...

Back in the day , most people thought the best way to learn music was by studying classical music ....
I did try that for a while , then I found a musical path that seemed to work for and fit my temperament / musical desires   ....
I started learning Jazz as a form of music and self expression ...
I loved the complex harmonic movement and the spirit of improvisation many of the top players  demonstrated in their playing  ...
regarding Jazz , I'm more like a guy who likes to dip his cup in the well for musical inspiration ...

my avatar that is just a recent pic of me playing my Gibson R 8 Les Paul ....
the Marshall's were shopped in after the photo was taken...

have A GOOD ONE

Kenny
