Dragging file out of Soanr as Midi file

I thought it was possible to click and drag a Midi track in Sonar and drag it for example to Desktop where it save it as a .MID file, but I cannot get that to work.

Can anyone advise how its done?

Sorry, my signature is not up to ate, I'm in new version Artist.   It shows a plus sign when dragged outside of Sonar but when released to the file location I choose, no file is left there.  I checked and it works for me in X3, but not the new Sonar.

This is confirmed broken in Platinum at the moment. I believe you can still drag 'n' drop to the browser, and nab it from there if it needs to go somewhere else. In related news, it seems  MIDI groove-clip info is not being saved by Save As Groove Clip, either. So, actually, I guess that's another option for getting MIDI clips out of Platinum right now.
