Signal Schematic in Sonar?

Awhile back, in a post, I saw the signal path or schematic or whatever, of the actual path that audio takes as it enters the application, and how it exits.

Please excuse my ignorance and inability to communicate to you what I mean.

Basically, what is the path the audio takes as it travels thru Sonar...is Pro Channel first or last with with regards to the FX insert located in the track section.

I am really trying to use Pro Channel more and want to understand better where it sits in the audio path. I think this would have an influence on what is used there with respect to what is inserted in the FX Insert, which again is located on the track...I think that is what I mean...you know to the right of Pro Channel, right next to the track, while in track view.

Thanks.

Pg 1007 of reference manual has a signal flowchart for Sonar.

It would be in the Mixing section of the online help under Signal Flow.

It seems that as long as the 'post' button is in the default state, the path is PC first the FXBin.

Since I have no idea where the 'post' button is...this is good for me.

So, essentially I could insert Ozone 5 in the FXBin for mastering.

Yes, Ozone in the FX bin of the Master bus would make it post-everything. Right-click an empty area of the Prochannel to get at the "Post FX Rack"option.

Knowing where the Pre/Post FX setting is may be useful. Right-click anywhere in the Track Inspector ProChannel to bring up the context menu for setting Pre/Post FX (the same menu to insert PC Modules). There is a button on each track in the Console View just above the EQ for setting Pre/Post FX.

The diagram isn't accurate.  See (for example) http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2935016

and there's no ProChannel on busses.

Good point. The FX bin is also missing in action.
