The Long Road Home - Finally complete with video

Hi everyone,

I posted this clip last month as an audio demo but have now managed to record live drums and complete the full track. The audio was done in Platinum and most of the keyboard parts came from Rapture and the Lounge Lizard soft synths.

I used the track in Part 3 of my video series on the Line 6 POD HD500X to demonstrate the clean and semi clean tones that this unit is capable of.

I tried to alternate between single coil and humbucking guitars to show how well the patches work with both.

If any of you use the HD500X I have made all my patches available to anyone that wants them.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Cheers,

Peter.

I've since updated my website with a few more patches for the HD500X, if anyone is interested.

    Cheers.

You make a strong case for Line 6.  I'm still using my AX2-212 that I bought In 2000.  Still, it takes more than a good amp or amp simulator to play like you do.  Thanks for the video.

    All the best,

Thanks for watching Lynn and for your comments.

Yes, I must say that this unit has impressed me quite a bit.

    Cheers

Nice...   Being a Strat fan myself, the HD500X seems to react well with it.  Nice clear attack and good sustain.  Of course, it helps to have someone demonstrating who can play well and has the right "touch" for the style(s).
