Project>Set Measure/Beat Now greyed out

Project> set Measure/Beat is greyed out.
I have X3. I turned sync to grid off.
I opened view piano roll, set the pointer in the track.
Measure/Beat is greyed out.
Windows 8.
What's my problem please.

    This is maybe a long shot, but see if there's any data in the tempo map.  If there's any in the area you want to insert a now-measure, delete the changes and then try again.
