- pitch an air tight tent by the river
- keep Pit Poodle 'Cujo" outside (watchdog)
- enjoy the 'comforts' of your own 'space'

I was thinking about "hostels" ... last one I stayed in was Ashland and it was only $10.

Are you talking about places to stay once you get to Colorado or hotels along the way? I'm pretty sure you can drive from LA. to CO. in less than a day. I once drove from Denver to Memphis only stopping for gas and food. And the speed limit was only 55.

I'm will probably stop in Dallas overnight to see my sister. I know I will stop over night in Shreveport. II'd like to find out the best time to make the journey. I don't want to go in the middle of tourist season. I need to research the cheapest area to go to. Right now I'm thinking direct route through Amarillo 287 to 87 to I-25 and up to Trinidad

OK I've worked out the route, where I Am staying, how much it's going to cost, and how long I'll be there.

If you pass thru this far, at least let us know ... you can have an evening or two for 125 cents only, although I will have to spread out the sleeping bags and such. My main room is actually my office and the living room is a studio for music and computers. You are welcome to a few nights if needed. You might need an umbrella, though in another month things should start drying out a bit around here.

Where you located Pedro? At the moment I'm having to deal with my Doctor which is the reason I wanted to go on this trip in the first place. Sleeping bags? Living room? Music and computers? Sounds like a great place!!

.....don't forget, you'll also need an umbrella to cover the Music & Computers (fyi, they don't get on too well).
