Any recommendation on chord chart software?

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone suggest comprehensive chord chart software (for guitar)?  Something in which a user can pick a key and view all chords (and related scales would be cool too) along the neck of a guitar (and piano)?  I have a band that can use a little help with filling in the blanks and I thought bringing out chord charts would be more effective rather than having to show them some different chords.  Software would be ideal so they can use it on their own when writing tunes.  No need to consider price, but something that is easy to read, so good graphics are a must.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

tecknot

Thanks, Grant.  I really need "offline" software in the studio.  I don't have internet access there.

Haven't tried it myself, I mostly use the barr at the root and scale to sort out my chord augmentations/ suspensions, but this looks like it might be what you're looking for http://www.livechord.com/products/chord-chart-software-2/chord-chart-software-on-multiple-screens/

I use an app for android phones called chord! It is awesome. I use the paid version.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I recently came across a good "Chord Generator and Visualizer" for Windows / OS/X / Linux. It is Piano/Keyboard centric rather than guitar, but is versatile, graphical and works well as a VST from within Sonar or Standalone.

Check it out - Mucoder Tonespace.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

First, a personal thanks to you, Bapu.  You are always on, man.

Geoff, that program for Android is cool, but I am going to be dropping the Android platform for Windows 10.  But pretty handing app, nonetheless.  Actually, it is exactly what I need and then some.  Thanks, Bapu.  I am gonna definitely grab this in the meantime.

Grant, liveChord is excellent.  That is one full package at a very good price. Appreciate it!  This could have helped me during my worship team days.  A keeper for sure.

Shellsta, another great app.  Although it seems for like arrangement/song writing or learning, it is pretty cool.  I didn't get much out of the video, but that program certainly has purpose.  I'm going to give this one a whirl too, the price is hard to beat.  Only problem in my case is that I need something my clients can reference so they can actually form the chord(s) on the guitar.  They are not at the point of understanding what an Aadd9 is or how it is formed on an instrument.  And I really want to avoid turning a session into a music lesson, just want to help them along a bit.  But I am certainly going to make use of this nifty app myself.

Again, I really appreciate it.  I have done a web search myself, but didn't find anything as cool as those you all have suggested, even if they didn't quite fit the blank spaces.

    Kind regards,

Glad you find it useful Tecknot. Understandable that you'd like to facilitate the recording phase in the studio.

There are indeed some great suggestions here I'll be checking out.
It can be a pain giving music lessons to clients who expect point and click to fix and give life to compositions that contain all major chords after the fact lol.
