Waves - Digigrid IOX/IOS

Was wondering if anyone had any experience/comments/review/advice in regards to the Waves IOX or IOS hardware? They're using Ethernet interface to communicate/transfer data and full potential may require using their integrated DSP server model (IOS) or a separate DSP server, as may be required for IOX). Also what would their stated  "broadcast" quality preamps imply?

Is there some industry standard metric to relate to some of the preamp quality descriptions used by various manufacturers, e.g., "pristine"; "studio"; "broadcast" etc..? Some manufacturers do refer to things like "Class A" or other class type or circuitry which seems to imply there are comparable objective reference standard metrics available that one could specifically use to compare in making decisions, and/or what are the specific specifications if provided that may be the most important to consider in terms of acoustical and possibly material quality? Understandably, within a certain/same "class" or other descriptor this may become a subjective opinion, (which may not be realized until after buying and using them for some time period).

Any feedback would be appreciated

Cheers
