FunkCat Brown - Squirrel

--->>>>>Links Below 2 Listen/Watch. Feedback welcome. All done in Sonar X3e.

I released a fun Funk single back in January called "Squirrel" under my pseudonym or alter-ego . Please listen to my song and or watch the video. The entire song is produced, arranged, composed and performed by myself and I made the funny little video, too. I hope you dig it and welcome your feedback. I learned a lot from this forum and this is my first song, so Thanks!

That is a weird tune.  I like it.  I have no idea what it means but it's certainly entertaining.  I don't do Twitter, instagram and stay away from the all revealing facebook as much as I can.  This is well recorded.  The Pugtones are out of the box most of the time so I can appreciate your tune.  I won't respond to the social media stuff but I'll be happy to get you bumped up here.  A lot of people don't post on threads that seem to be promoting sales especially when they don't know who you are.  So, your tune is squirrely and I really like it.   You have some real talent and I look forward to hearing more.

Thanks evadianepug! I edited out the purchase links and appreciate your feedback. I just listened to a couple of your tracks and enjoyed them. I absolutely loved the intro on Snow Dreams! I have lurked a lot on here and haven't had much reason to chime in. But, I figured I would share my track and see what other music makers using Sonar think. Now, if I could just find more time to work on music! Sometimes, life gets in the way and things don't get done nearly as fast as I'd hope they would. Thanks again!

Time is always a problem, but what the heck.  Having it is good!  Let the people up here get to know you.  It helps to comment on other people's music.  All the guys and gals appreciate it.  Once they know you a bit it's easier to announce your CDs and things.  Welcome, it's always to have new people in the community!

Thanks Wookiee! Appreciate the compliment and advice. Yes, a lot of man hours on this song. Mostly because I had to learn a lot as I went about Sonar and various other production fundamentals. I pretty much lost my mind during the mastering. Ha ha. I will try to follow your advice. This is a great community.

What's not to like about this song?  It sounds radio ready to me, and I love this style of music.  Funky with clever lyrics is always welcome in my book.  What's really impressive is the balance of the panning and the easy to hear bass and percussion.  Excellent tonality on everything.  I suspect that you'll shine with Platinum, and I look forward to hearing more.

Thanks! Lynn I really appreciate the kind words. Getting it to sound radio ready was the biggest challenge. I now understand why people pay someone else to master their songs. It's an art in its own right and very hard to be subjective after you just spent hours recording and mixing it. It took me longer to master it than it did to record and mix it. LOL. And PiBoy I am NOT a chick. Ha ha. I'm a dude. Thank you as well for the compliment, as well. Working hard on some new stuff.

This is a fun, funky song with a lot of double entendre lyrics.  The mix sounds good to me and the animation was entertaining.  I have been trying to learn Blender to do animations but I am about to give up in despair. What are you using?
    Nice one.

FUNKY!!!!!!!!!  Your mix sounds perfect on my little computer speakers.  I watched the YouTube vid.  I liked the little vocal harmony parts.  Would liked to have heard a few more notes in your guitar solos...just my opinion, as a guitar player of course..LOL

    Thanks for sharing!

Wow. A few new comments. I didn't get the notifications, so am just now seeing. Thanks tbosco I'm tear up on some guitar on other tracks on this CD so I kept them kind of understated on this song. Appreciate the feedback. Noisy Neighbour Oh! A smile is what I wanna bring with my music. Great compliment. Love your name. My neighbors probably hated me when I was mixing this and would loop a section and play it 100 times to get my mix right. Ha ha. And another grinner for synkrotron!! Thanks man. I worked hard to learn a lot of production stuff while doing this song. I really grew and it was painful at times. Glad you grinned!

Love the bass + drums in the center with the accents on the outer edges - very cool stuff.     I like it.
