Matrix View MIDI Problem?

Hello,
 
I am trying to use the Matrix view for songwriting.  I am using all MIDI softsynth tracks.   I have a chorus already recorded in the track view.   When I drag say my chorus into the matrix and create a column for "Chorus" - and I hit the button at the top of the row, my chorus plays correctly, however - when it comes time to recording the performance back into the track view (say I want to repeat the chorus), it plays all my midi parts in the wrong spots.   The parts don't all play together nicely anymore.
 
This seems like a bug, but not sure.  If so, I will report it if no one else has.

    There have been a few threads on sync issues. Try enabling the metronome during recording (can lower the gain to -inf), but that may help.

    no its not that....  its not a slight timing issue... all the parts play at the wrong times.... like way off... measures off.

    Do you have Follow Transport Disabled? Or could it be an issue w/ either the Global Latch Mode or the latch mode of individual clips? That effects clip timing.
