Rapture Pro Installation FAQ

What's your thoughts on how the installer will handle Steam installs?
I guess it looks to the Registry for prior installs/locations rather than trawl you drives?
Does it do moves, copies or links of/to Rap/Dim content?
 
Background:
I have both regular path Rapture/DimLE and Steam Sonar X3 Producer (including Rapture and DimPro).
I have purchased Platinum from the Cakewalk Store (crossgraded) but am yet to install (pending decent inventory/backup/cleanup).
I have now also purchased Rapture Pro (via JRR group - effectively CCC). My intention is to install Rapture Pro ahead of Platinum and as a typical/auto CCC install (and retain my Steam installs - not so fussed about regular path Rapture).
[EDIT]: I'll probably just do 64bit, if that's an option.
 
[EDIT2]: I'd prefer the installer to not see my Steam Multisamples directory as primary, but rather create it's own and link to the old locations (and/or there be an option to merge to the new or desired location).

Under the Edit/Options arrow there is the button to "Open User Guide". This does nothing for me (i.e. no user guide opens). Can you tell me where it is expected to be installed so I can find it manually?

Here we go again hit the same bug as with DPro one of the expansion packs (Vol2) crashes during initial extraction phase with "another program is currently using this file" still waiting for Cakewalk to get this corrected. In this case I decided to wing it and run the pack installer from the temp directory only question is does anyone one know what is that last set of samples in this volume the extraction had got as far as 15 - Strings and they have now installed.

Thanks it's worth a shot although I think I've tried it before. Whatever is causing it locks the installer exe file until PC rebooted. Frustrating thing is that usually after 15 odd attempts it will work. Same issue with Vol 5 but that worked after only 2 attempts the rest sailed through.

Is running Command Center required for activation?  I get a message as soon as I insert Rapture Pro into a project that I should login to Command Center to check activation status and Rapture Pro is running in demo mode.  I don't get the usual activation pop up I used to get Cakewalk products like Z3ta and Sonar X3.

I am downloading Rapture Pro(and obviously have some time! LOL) and wondering if the Legacy Vol1 and 2 are all the Dim Pro Volumes that I bought and installed already, DSF Vol 1-13.  I also had the EMU ones and the Anderton Mini Moog Tribute Rapture Pack, so do I even need to install them?
What happens if I have duplicated the MiniMoog Pack?

where do the DP packs go?

Due to the need to preserve disk space, can I download the 10GB of content to an external disk and if so whould USB 2.0 suffice?
I am using X1 for now.

I reinstalled Rapture Pro and now have to wait till someone explains whether the 15 Volumes of DSF that I already have are the same as the Legacy Volumes or not. I am assuming that I have already installed FilmScore, MiniMoog Tribute, and the EMU ones, but some clarity or confirmation would be handy.
