Automation with Sonar and Kontakt

Kontakt isn't like other VSTs, in that it doesn't have the automation icon. Is there a way I can record automation from Kontakt into an automation lane in Sonar? I do this with other synths all the time. I recently bought Signal (by Output) which runs in Kontakt. I'd like to automate the four macro controls in Signal. I'd prefer to this rather than use MIDI learn (which is clunky, and can't be edited in an automation lane).

Thanks,
Mike

I don't know which automation icon you're referring to, but the one I always use is definitely there in Kontakt, in exactly the same place as every other synth or plugin - top right corner, in Sonar's window frame. You can turn on automation and off from there, or in the track view, though for some purposes it seems to be better to do it from within the plug-in window...

Never mind -- please disregard my post. Kontakt has the automation icon, just like all other VSTs. Problem solved!
