Do we still need to use manual install or has Command Center been fixed?

I'm using 32 bit Platinum and when I first installed, I found I couldn't install 32 bit using Command Center, so I had to do a manual install by downloading each file separately (what a pain). So does Command Center still have this limitation? If so, what's the best way to do the updates?

Right now I go to "My account" click on "products" and Platinum. There's no update for Dorchester listed, so do I download the latest Platinum and pretty much reinstall it? How do I know if I need to update any of the other listed products? Does Command Center still not allow us to choose what HD to install the large files on, so we can keep our C drive lean?

An update to the Command Console is in the works. There is a sticky post in the Features and Ideas forum.

For now the functionality has not changed.

I had the same question as you gmp as I also did a manual install because of a dodgy internet connection. There is, in case you missed it, an "update" option when you click the Sonar Platinum tab.
When I go to Command Center it doesn't recognise that I have many components already installed (indicated by red lights) to the left of the name.
Is this part of the same "bug", because I didn't install Cakewalk originally from Command Center?
If so, what are my options to ensure I keep my drives "lean"?
    Thanks

You click on the SONAR button if it's yellow (which means it's installed but not updated). Then the option appears to update. Click on it.

How do I know if I need to update any of the other listed products?

Do the same thing if they're yellow or red, but you don't have to do the red ones if the products were installed before the CCC (e.g., Melodyne Essential, Dimension Pro).

Click on the System button and specify where you want files downloaded, as well as your VST plug-ins folder.

Oh by the way if you installed something manually you can copy the installer into the same folder that the Command Center is downloading to. Then the Command Center will recognize that it is installed and let you know if updates are available.

Not sure if this works for everything but it did work for me on the main program as well as the Anderton content, NYC impulses and the help files.

    Gerry,
I've had no issues installing/upgrading from the CCC on my Win7Prox86 office rig.
Just the install paths for the soft synths, (but that poor horse has been beat to death) and RapPro lets you pick the path for the multisamples; all good!
