Oh Yea, I almost forgot...VST craziness too...

For some unknown reason yesterday Sonar quit seeing my WAVES stuff and on rescan kept hanging on the waveshell and asking me to locate the folder where the plugs were located.  I took this to mean where the vst3 dll files were located...but no...after several rescans and reboots (I even reinstalled all my WAVES plugs) I finally figured out it was asking me where the actual plugins were located which, if you ever run into this situation, are not under Program Files as most 64bit thingys are.  They are in the WAVES file folder under Program Files (X86) and you have to click through (or I did) all the way into, and to just to, the actual plugin folder itself inside the WAVES folder.  That seemed to do the trick.  So far.

Where you come from is gone...where you thought you were goin to weren't never there...and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it.
