I just stay away from unsaturated fats. I eat as naturally or traditionally as I can. I stay away from over refined things like white flour but I do have buttermilk pancakes about once a month. High fat, low carb, medium low protein... no moobs! I have gone to Ezekiel Bread. I tried gluten free bread (it just isn't good), gluten free pizza crusts (they break in the package.. you cannot make pizza on a broken crust), I've given up on gluten free. There are a few good gluten free crackers but most of it is just not good and frankly, life is short and I like food.
We have not had margarine in the hose for decades, natural... BUTTER! I've gotten away from sugar too, not totally but I've cut it by probably 80%. I've found that the reason diet drinks taste bad isn't the artificial sweetener but the lack of the taste of sugar SO.. for example, I like my coffee with cream and sugar. I now use less that 1/4 the sugar I once used. I now use one pretty level spoon of sugar and four packs of Sweet Leaf stevia, Sweet Leaf is the only stevia that doesn't have that weird taste like Truvia does, it is just sweet. I've discovered La Croix carbonated water too, lemon, lime, and a bunch of other flavors. No sodium, no nothing.. just good!
Opps, gotta go there is a bird inside the screen porch... time to get the big aquarium net.
