How to waste a couple of hours: Be on the phone with the tech. support department for a company. How to waste days: Have to deal with the tech. support departments for TWO companies who both think the problem is with the other company...

Is time itself not merely an abstract definition of a unit of existence, without which the cosmos would eagerly expand to grant all the inner wisdom necessary to achieve the highest realm of peace and understanding? Indeed, time is something that necessitates wastage... I do believe...unless it's 7/8, and if you get those beats right, brother you have arrived!

Except that when I'm out having fun, the drummer plays faster but, when I'm stuck on the phone with these idiots, he plays waaaaaaaay slower... We are finally just about where we were supposed to be two Fridays ago at noon! Grrrrr...

Hi,
The last time was on the Windows 8 setup that did not like Home Networking and the computers all lost the name Resolution whenever each machine either went to rest, not out, and then you could not do anything unless you had that other machine re-started. (Ok by IP, etc, etc !!!)
That was the last time I used 32bit anything from Microsoft. And NEVER a home edition, because they were not designed for any kind of networking, that even as far as Windows 8, Microsoft still was not allowing Home folks to network correctly ... and they helped ruin the PC market by making this stuff hard, instead of simple click and go, when even routers have been setup for multiple units for at least 5 years!
This was a year ago!
However, even with 8.1 Pro 64bit, I still have to go to the other machine and have it click to "see this machine", before I can use the backup folder on the other machine. In other words, Microsoft STILL DOES NOT GET IT ... and we really need some serious competition for it. I'm not an Apple person, and could never afford their machines and their inability to get upgraded ... the ultimate disposable society that America loves so much.
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

To waste is to render as to refuse. So if any sliver of enlightenment was gained no wastage can actually occur, regardless of the source. Through many painful conversations with living and breathing human (oid) 'IT' support (term used so very loosely here) I have grown to embrace a measure of empathy for the struggle one witnesses when the other party strives however

Fruitlessly to communicate through speech in a language that is not their native tongue. The obtaining of the realization of the inner struggle I have found negates any true 'waste'.
