Notreceiving Cakewalk Emails from Marketing

I don't get cakewalk emails from their marketing department. I receive notifications from the account regards purchases and from the forum, but it seems their marketing material is dealt with out of house. Once this company receives some sort of info that their material is not wanted it stops sending, and re-registering does not change this. I had this fixed around a year ago, but it stopped, and I have tried to get it fixed this year, but it stopped after one email. I have an open call with Tech Support from the middle of January, and sent and received replies to a dozen communications, but all I get now is 'I'll chase marketing'.

They have said that I must have been putting stuff to spam without me knowing and triggering it, so I proved this wasn't the case, I didn't clear my spam folder for months and nothing was from cakewalk.

They said that also if their system detects that I am not reading, than it stops sending them, but I only got one email since logging this last call, and I read it, so that doesn't wash either.

With the other issues I have with cakewalk, this really shouldn't be one of them.

Is your "Newsletter" checkbox checked in your account on www.cakewalk.com (not forum)?

Yeah ticked, and re-registering as cakewalk have said does not affect anything. Basically the outside email company they use have to protect them selves from being accused of spamming, so should you iindicate their emails are not wanted, then re-registering does not override this.  They say at somepoint I must have accidentally spammed one of their emails, like years ago. They fixed for a short while last year, it stopped

I wondered maybe the email company send emails for other music software companies, and me spamming one of those may have cut me from their lists, but since getting this fixed in January and recediving just one cakewalk email, I stopped sending to spam anything and didn't clear out the spam so I could be sure this wasn't a factor.

I've missed out on some offers because of this.

I haven't stopped. I'm posting here because I'm tired of just chasing them not achieving anything.

Good luck. I finally got them to start back during the release of X series after almost a decade of inactivity. Went to the link above and box is unchecked. Yet I believe I'm still receiving the emails. I hope they don't stop now that I have posted about it and checked the box. :-)
