Very nice and tasty playing Clint (my kind of music.....loved it!!). Very, very clean and clear mix (listening on cans the youtube version). To me, the lead guitar could/should be a little more upfront and the bass could be slowered a few dB's to benefit the mix......but, that's just my amatuer opinion which is to be taken with a few grains of salt, lime, & tequila. Viva Carlos!!

This is very nice with some smooth playing very nice, the production is quite good as well, one minor little thing perhaps some selective EQ in the bottom end to allow all the bottom end elements to be more apparent. Thanks for sharing

Sounds great, Clint. This is as tasty as it can get. I heard a little hiss on the outro, but that's minor. Kudos!

Good advice. I need to improve in this area. The combination of Kick, Keys and bass are a bit tricky for a guy with my limited skill set.

Great playing! Really in the pocket. Nice arrangement and tones. Here's my take on the mix: 1. Bass needs about -4db at 500hz. It is too boomy. If you can analyze with graphic EQ, look for the spikes in this area. 2. Kick is too soft. Boost it about 3db in level. Have you tried side chaining the kick and bass? It would help. I would just do these two things and then step back and listen. Good stuff!

Hey... that is sweet. I could hear CS playing that. Tasty stuff in there. I especially LOVED the tone. It doesn't get any better ...even Carlos himself would be impressed. Nice.

Thanks! I really like S-gear. I'm tweaking my Atomic Amplifire and I have it very close to S-Gear, but being able to change things after the take, give the edge to S-gear for recording. I also bought an Atomic CLR for my Amplifire...it's going to be a very powerful rig.

Clint, Really good work. I might consider adding more emphasis on the latin percussion in the final version, including some pronounced timbale fills at connecting points, like 2:00-2:14. But really awesome track. Regards

nice tight playing! and a good clean capture..... i think the bass guitar is mostly right, maybe ride the volume on it a bit, at the beginning, a little more level. but the kick drum doesn't come across with enough punch, or snap. it's hard to judge, but wherever the low end of the bass is sitting best (between 50hz and 200hz), boost the kick with a sharp Q either just above or below the fundamental of the bass, and add something between 2-3khz for a little snap. you should lay a vocal across the top of this, and edit out the solo guitar where it makes sense, and make this a full blown song....... it works great as an instrumental, but it's strong enough to stand as a song, with 'several guitar breaks' in it!! LOL

It's begging for vocals. Your guitar playing is really really good! If you keep it as instrumental, I'd nudge the lead guitar up just a bit hotter. Right now it seems just as prominent by bass and and snare and hihat. Really excellent jam here! -Tom

Good ideas, Thanks for giving them...I'm going to work on this more in the future. I did think about adding vocals on it, and I may. It became an instrumental mainly because I was A/B ing S-Gear vs. Amplifire for a month...Hahaha!

Thanks Freddy! It's a little sloppy, but the lead guitar was recorded live (several takes, but one complete performance) I should and probably will go back and fix several little things.
