QuadCurve EQ - Hybrid Style

I often use the QuadCurve for a high-pass filter and for some subtractive EQ.  I like the interface and it's right there in every track.  In fact, I've wondered why it's not available as a PC module and as a stock plugin.  But, and I never noticed this before, the Hybrid mode or Style really muddies things up as soon as it is On.  The other Styles are much more transparent.

Anyone else experience this?

I like one of the others - but it is really a matter of taste.  If you find the hybrid cloudy somebody else is bound to find it vintage.  How we hear things makes our style.

Can't argue with that.  Any idea if/when Cakewalk will make the QuadCurve a stock plugin?  That topic must have come up before.
