Drum Map list - One VERY long menu !!

I just did a monthly subscription to Sonar Platinum. I'm basically going to give it a month and see how I get on. I thought I'd check out the drum maps. The problem I have encountered is that when you open the drum maps the list is in one unbelievably long single column and scrollling downwards takes forever. So really it would be much more useful if this column was split up into maybe 3 or 4 side-by-side rather than one long interminable one.

Regards
Martin

Simply go to the drum map folder (it's location is shown in the path preferences), create a sub-folder, and move everything you don't need (which is probably almost everything) there.

And don't forget you can type a letter to jump where you want to go, e.g., type "Y" to jump to the list of Yamaha drum maps.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

Also I noticed you can choose from the same list in the Drum Map editor which is good.

The UI needs to be completely revised. Saving existing drum maps is too confusing. The buttons are placed in weird positions. How the rows behave when altering them is perplexing. I can't test to see if a setting works until I exit preferences (so time consuming)... Of course I know how to workaround all these oddities now, but it's simply dreadful.

I can understand why drum maps were hidden in preferences in the past (they didn't work very well), but now they are working I hope Cakewalk scraps the UI and gives up a decent UI interface for drum maps in the multidock soon. This, fixing track templates and takelanes are top on my list.
