Hey guys! Simon here. Thanks for sharing the library!

Unfortunately, the free Kontakt Player only works with licensed Kontakt Player libraries, and the licensing costs a lot of money. I wouldn't be able to offer the libraries for free if they were Player libraries, so it's a bit of a compromise. However, Piano in 162 exists in sfz format, which you can use with a free sampler like Plogue Sforzando!

I also thought I'd mention that I'm currently doing a completely new version of Clare Solo, this time in a professional studio through a lovely ribbon mic and fantastic signal chain. We're recording a wider range and multiple vowels. I also have a solo trombone library, featuring the same comprehensive legato as Clare Solo, and a drum library coming out very soon. I post updates and announcements on and Facebook and Twitter, so feel free to follow Ivy Audio there if you want to be notified about future releases. All libraries on Ivy Audio are free, but donations help cover operating costs and allow me to pay musicians to make more libraries, so if you like what I'm doing, please consider donating!

    Cheers,

    Simon

Thanks Simon for the libraries and the info. Perhaps I will try the sfz format piano.

I really like the direction this project is taking. Note transitions are the crucial element for natural-sounding vocal samples, and most libraries don't do it well. Simon, if you can figure out how to do it, then this could be the genesis of a killer commercial library.

Oops, I am unable to download it. Too many connections, perhaps. Will try again later.

Ok things seem to be working now. For some reason the server decided to refuse all connections starting at 6:00 AM.

I'm not sure when the new Clare library will be done. We need one more session to finish up the ooo vowel, but we're right in the middle of finals so scheduling is a bit difficult.

As for transitions, I'm surprised that more companies don't do things this way. Sure it takes longer to record, but it sounds so much better than stitching together sustain and transition samples.

Let me know what you guys think!
