Defaults For MIDI-IN Port

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to have a new MIDI track by default NOT use MIDI-Omni but perhaps another MIDI Input I have.

Thank You,
Adam

True - but we all know my gripes with track templates
Plus that would mean I have to setup a track template for every softsynth in my rack

That's what I've been doing, and yup not fun at all! There are a load of issues with track templates it looks like cakewalk has been addressing some of them which is great news. As they are on the case I've been testing for further bugs. Next month we will see the bugfix list.

Rather than creating a track template for each synth, if the synths are one in/one out use the same template and the replace synth function. That said, I have never worried about setting track input as needed.

thank you everyone.  I use a lot of external sequencers, and sometimes I want to be able to add many tracks to grab its input from there only.  MIDI omni will work if they are hardware sequencers, but not if its a soft one - like Kirnu Cream.
