audio files always stored in project folder no matter what

I am using Sonar Platinum, working on a project that was imported from Sonar X3. The audio data is saved to the project folder whether or not "use per-project audio folders" is checked in the file audio preferences. I want to save ALL audio for this project to the global audio folder. How can I accomplish this?

Audio data is always saved to the following folder:

Project Audio Folder: D:\music data\Sonar Platinum compositions\Audio

However, I have the following folder configured as the global audio folder, with "use per project audio folders" UNCHECKED, the audio is NEVER stored here:

Global Audio Folder: F:\sonar audio\sonar platinum audio

How can I get the audio files to be saved in the global audio folder?

The Per Project Audio preference only affects the creation of new projects. Once you save a project, the path to its audio folder is stored in the project file. In order to convert a project to use the global audio folder I think you would have to move all the audio files to that folder, and then open the project and tell it where to find the "missing" audio files and choose to reference the audio from its current location, rather than copying it back to the original folder.

It's up to you how you work of course but I wonder what your reason is for doing this.

Just create a sub-folder named after your project in your Projects folder and save your project in there.  It should automatically create a new Per-project audio folder in the that sub-folder.

    Example
    - Project is named "Jam 1"
    - Create sub-folder called "Jam 1" in your projects folder
    - With Jam 1 open in Sonar Platinum, save "Jam 1.cwp" to the new sub-folder called "Jam 1"
    - the audio files will be copied/stored in a folder called "Audio" inside the "Jam 1" sub-folder
