Dimension Pro won't install

howdy y'all -
 
So I'd bought some Digital Sound Factory expansion packs for Dimension Pro, tried to load 'em up, and the install process kept stopping with an error saying "No supported instrument was found. Setup will now close." I had never updated D-Pro to 1.5, so I thought I'd finally do that and hope that it fixed the expansion pack problem.
 
Now the problem is when I run the installer for D-Pro 1.5, once it asks me which language to use for the installation (English, for the record), the process disappears from Task Manager and nothing happens. No installation, no error dialog, no nuttin'....
 
Scratching my head on this one, folks..... Anyone got any ideas? FWIW, the system here is Win7 x64

    If the old version of DPro is still installed, run the update instead of the full installer. Get the update here http://www.cakewalk.com/S...imension-LE-1-5-Update
