Sonar X1 LE and Roland GW-7... I have a big problem...

Hi,
I was previously using Audphile 24/96 PCI sound card.
I did some good works with midi connections (it was very complex system for me).
A few days ago, so I bought a new sound card (Roland Tri-Capture).
Dealers said that everything much easier in this new system when I connected sound card and keyboard via USB
to my computer.
I canceled all my old midi cable connections and sound card.
I began enthusiastically new system implementation and installed my new sound card to my computer via USB.
There is no problem...
I installed Sonar X1 LE (it was in the Roland Tri-Capture package).
I registered the Sonar X1 LE and want to work with new system but have a big problem...
My computer recognize sound card and keyboard (Roland GW-7) but Sonar X1 LE doesn't
recognize my keyboard connected to the computer with a USB cable.
I can't do anything with this problem.
How can I promote my keyboard to Sonar X1?
How to solve this problem? Where am I doing wrong?

You need to set it up in Preferences. check out this link to start. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Dialogs2.050.html
Good luck I'm off to work.

Sorry I never seen your YouTube video until now. In control services you need to click on the little yellow thing top right and select it.

    Hello!

As far as I know (reading the manual), the USB-port of the GW-7 is just used for data transfer (e.g. midifiles) and not as a midi-interface. playing on the keyboard doesn´t transfer live midi data over USB. you have to use the traditionell connections. So your not able to find it in the midi device list of sonar, because it´s no midi device!

Because of the fact that the Tri-Capture has no midi connectors you need a separate midi interface.

Maybe someone else who owns a GW-7 can confirm this.

Problem solved ... I did a shortly survey after your reply.
I learned the MIDI-USB cable can be a solution. Indeed, that was the solution.
Currently I am continuing to my works with great pleasure.

Now, I have to find correct and precise answer for another big problem.
I will open this problem a new issue under the title "Why?" with a mini video.
Many many thanks for your interest ...
