Pugtones revive "Jazz The Funky" A square dance rap tune.

So, Jazz came to us in 2009.  Mark sent the music and said do you want to do some rap?  Me??  So we started "square dance rap".  It hasn't caught on but we're still waiting.  This out of the box even for us.  I hope you enjoy it.  Oh, there are some "plosions".  It was a while ago.  Please enjoy Jazz's story.

Cool use of delay on the snare. Guitars sound really good. Interesting tune, lol.

Funky indeed!  I just love the way that you guys are experimenting with different songs and sounds.  I love the story telling narrative in this song. Warren you really put style in the vocals and love the bass that carries this song along.  Mark I have always been a fan of your guitar work.
This song is not only funky but cool  --  love it!!!

Lots of cool stuff going on in this and it is all clear as a bell. I like the mix and I really like the bass in this. It sounds so punchy and clean. I love the delays in the drums and vocals . Good job guys!

Mark and Warren, Wow, this is epic in its' own kind of way. I like your great use of all the instrumentation and even the vocals have a great flare happen that brings everything full circle, like shuffling your feet and jazzing the funky!
    Very nicely done.

I appreciate this, first of all, because I am not capable of making music like this. I usually don't like rap, but I've not heard jazzy rap before so this is kind of cool. I really like the guitar solo work.

Good tones.  "Jazz the funky..." Cool lyrics.
I would drop the reverb on the narration type vocal and really compress it. Keep the other vocals like they are so there is a big difference between them.
Lead guitar is pretty hot in level! I have this playing back pretty loud right now.

    Fun tune. Like it.

I haven't smoked anything in ten years but copped a good buzz right away on this one. Loved the off the wall syncopated rhythm and the psycho chord progression. Your vocal narrative is perfect....a bit less verb so its inyourfacetellitlikeitis attitude would increase the impact. Nice spacey guitar ride. The intro made me think of Three Dog Night's great arrangements(Mama told me not to come) but now its like Frank Zappa meets Fred Sanford ................Great sense of humor and street savvy execution............way cool...............Ron

Warren and Mark - man this IS fooonky!

really good stuff!  love the stereo effects on the BGVs.  drums are nice jazz sounding set.  guitar and bass are excellent!  vox are good!

you've got some plosives on the lead vox, tho.

other than that, really cool swingin' song!

As a child who spent many pensive moments hiding under 8-foot tables shoved to one end of the hall, watching and listening...

Allemande left with your left hand...

If only my parents had square danced to YOUR style...

    Sigh.
