Is Anderton Collection Setup cumulative?

Is Anderton Collection Setup cumulative?

Right now, I have three different versions of the Anderton Collection...

AndertonCollectionSetup_1.0.0.10.exe (248 MB)
AndertonCollectionSetup_1.0.0.13.exe (88 MB)
AndertonCollectionSetup_1.0.0.19.exe (127 MB)
 
Normally, I'd just assume that each successive version is a roll up of all previous versions.  However, the fact that the first version in the list is almost double the size of the others has me scratching my head.  Can I really install 1.0.0.19 and get everything there is to get?

    All updates are cumulative. There are exceptions though. The Brian HardGroove Collection was originally delivered in the Anderton Collection installer. It was subsequently moved to a separate installer. I believe this was a one-off while Cakewalk was trying to decide how to deliver release specific content.

    There have been other installer changes, the Help and Tutorials was split into two.

    As usual...scook is right  The first one had the Hardgroove content, now it's separate although it's still in your account and permanently activated.
     
    The reason for this is Brian intended to release the library as a commercial product, but he switched to SONAR last year from a "Pro"gram that shall remain nameless  and thought the membership thing was cool. So he agreed to let the early adopters who signed up for the first release get the loops for free, but then it would become the commercial product that was intended originally.
     
    The Kick Start expansion pack is also a free exclusive for those members who signed up prior to or during the Everett reelase. It won't be included in subsequent releases but again, for anyone who gets it now, it's in your account and permanently activated so you can reinstall it at any time.

    This is kind of something that weirds me out about the new system. I use the offline method so as you add to the Anderton package (as an example but I'm also referring to other stuff that has or will be coming out) and as I want to check out the new stuff I'm essentially downloading all the stuff I already have as well? It's all kind of new obviously and I've only dl'd two versions (Braintree which was my first SPlat dl) and Dorchester. I only snagged the extra content when I dl'd Dorchester so really I've only snagged the Anderton pack once which is of course fine.
     
    So how do I get some of this new content without duplication each time? I'm thinking MAYBE the CCC does this automagically and puts it all where it's supposed to go (maybe not) but as I said I'm an offliner so CCC is out. Ideally I'd kind of like it if in our store account there was a "cumulative" download for newcomers and/or fresh installs and then in an expandable subfolder the new month by month content (with release dates and descriptions of the contents) so if something new comes around but we already have the previous months we can snag JUST the extra content we need.
     
    It may already work like this somehow but this is one of the few things that really confuses me about the new system. The extra content stuff actually kind of confused me even on the yearly cycle because it was hard to tell what was new in those packages and what was stuff already on my system.
     
    Sorry if that makes no sense or is stupid but I'm seriously unsure how that works and my system is already a mess of files and installers as it is.

    There is only one set of installers. It does not matter if you download using C3 or the manual process. This is one reason there are more installers than previous versions of SONAR, the installers are smaller. With few exceptions (the two noted above), all the installers are cumulative.

    So if I've downloaded every version of the Andertom extras then this one will include new stuff and reinstall all the previous stuff. Have I got that right?

    Okay, thanks. So I guess the next logical question would be how does one manage this on a release to release basis? Ideally I guess it would mean just deleting the old files and dl'ing and installing the new cumulative update but after installation this stuff settles itself where it needs to go. I wouldn't know how to effectively remove/replace.
     
    Or perhaps the installers themselves will remove and replace and/or not install stuff that's there already. In which case I guess it would be a matter of just making sure to delete old installers/packages as time wears on so as not to waste disk space... but then you are still spending the time/bandwidth downloading content you already have.
     
    Just trying to figure out a good updating/housecleaning system.

    Yes, except for the Brian HardGroove Collection which as of Cambridge is a separate installer. The Brian HardGroove Collection is a Brantree exclusive.

    The installers are not dependent on each other. You could run an old version of the SONAR core and the current Engineering and Boutique FX plug-ins.
