Drum Replacer suggestions

I have quite a few suggestions that are oriented around the idea of generalizing Drum Replacer to make a general purpose spectral sample replacer, not just drums.

1) Allow more than 3 modules
2) Make the module have a highpass and lowpass filter to select a frequency notch for replacement or some sort of notch filter (perhaps attuned to semitone detection)
3) Allow a low and a high dynamic range marker to further isolate a signal
4) Allow more types of soundfiles (like FLAC, for example).
5) Expand the MIDI note range on each module to use any MIDI note
6) Allow a VST to play the MIDI data instead of a sample. In other words, drag a VST instrument into the waveform gui part.

Thanks for the feedback. Many of these are already on the backlog. Some are already in progress. One is already done ;).

Other people have mentioned another useful thing - wet/dry settings per lane. Ideally, everything should be lane-oriented, not global except for maybe a master input/output slider like FX chains have.

Another useful feature - the ability to toggle a selected group of trigger points.
For example, one might want to just select 5 or 6 out of hundreds already selected.
So we might want to select an area via mouse and toggle them on or off.

It would be nice to be able to save the lane settings as a preset. I have set up experimental phrases where I replace more or less random stuff with other random stuff. Each lane has different filter and dynamic settings. And different MIDI notes.   Then I mix them, render them, and go back again with different samples.

Takes a while to set everything up, but a preset would help a lot.

I think it would also be very usefull
1) to link every module to its own specific track or bus
2) to make the dry-wet-fader automatable.

I am all for keeping the drum replacer a drum replacer and along those lines. I have to strongly agree with the suggestions above.

spectral sampler (2) Make the module have a highpass and lowpass filter to select a frequency notch for replacement or some sort of notch filter (perhaps attuned to semitone detection)

The meat on this one is ,  What If I could take a stereo recording of drums or EVEN a mono recording of drums and truly zero in on some part of the wave to trigger the sample counterpart.  The frequency selector in DR already tried gives us some of that, but I tried to use a single stereo recording of drums and couldn't really get the bass, snare and others isolated.  IT would be AMAZING if one could just record drums and use this to get all the drums isolated to triggers and even high hats and crashes. Some kind of spectral signature dealio.  Probably beyond the scope of the tool.  But I don't think one can do this with drumagog, trigger or others either so it might be quite a feather in the cap.

 6) Allow a VST to play the MIDI data instead of a sample. In other words, drag a VST instrument into the waveform gui part.

Instead of having to copy midi out, I would like to point a the DR track directly to a VSTI if only for convenience.
