I love First Call. And by extension Mojo Horns which, I believe, use many if not all of the same samples.

And just to add to my confusion, SOS have just reviewed NI's Session Horns Pro

I have NI Session Horns Pro, got it on sale, sorry can't remember exactly, but I think it was around $250.00. The part of it that I never use is the "performance" feature, which is basically preset riffs of horn section performances . . . so the "compact" version probably doesn't include that anyways. There are also "keyswitch" and "solo" features . . . and between those 2 you have all the bases covered to create great sounding horn solo and horn section performances. This software is very well thought out, and easy to learn how to fit it into your tunes with the various articulation settings.
Cakewalk by Bandlab, Cubase, RME Babyface Pro, Intel i7 3770K @3.5Ghz, Asus P8Z77-VPro/Thunderbolt, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 250 GB OS SSD, 2TB HDD samples, Win 10 Pro 64 bit, backed up by Macrium Reflect, Novation Impulse 61 Midi Key Controller, Tannoy Active Near Field Monitors, Guitars by Vantage, Gibson, Yamaki and Ovation.

Session Horns Pro comes with K10 Ultimate...now on sale for $249 if you have K10, and will be even less at JRRShop in the morning. So for less then SHPro you can get the whole shebang...if you have K10...
I'll be ordering it as soon as Uncle E posts it....I've been waiting for this one...
