SI-Drums
I'm having issues with the SI-Drums, I can't find a step sequencer to create my own loops. If I buy addictive drums, will that work with SONAR X1 LE? And if so - will the step sequencer work?

Right click on the midi track, select view, select Step Sequencer There's no step seqencer in AD2, but the VST will work, and the Step sequencer in SONAR will work with it too

Ahhh, not sure if the LE version has a step sequencer. If nothing shows when you right click the track veiw, but it does show a piano roll view, then you don't have it. You can program beats with the piano roll view though, just a different approach

Hi Kamikaze, Thanks for the responses & sorry for the long delay in getting back. I only have the piano view and it's a pain to work with - if I (right click) delete a beat (One square in the piano view) and then try and reinstate the same beat (left click) it takes up four squares. Also, If I drag a new drum loop into the timeline, there are missing beats comparer to the loop when played directly from the kit, its like loops are missing some of the components... I'll post up some desktop capture of the issues I'm having, I'm sure I've messed up some settings somewhere. KamikazeIf you are thinking of getting AD2, look at Platinum, because you'll get that a three kits of your choice. Along with Session Drummer and it's kits $499 is waaaaaaaay! out of my budget What is the minimum I need to spend to get Session Drummer and the step sequencer?

Have a look at this comparison chart, should tell you more stuff you'd need to know http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/VersionsThe two main options for you as Platinum is out of your range is Artist and Pro, at $99 and $199. I'm not sure if as a SONAR LE owner you are counted as a an owner entitled to a upgrade price. it does say here 'I own any other SONAR' then this becomes 49.99 and 149.99. That's worth looking into. Session drummer 3 and Step sequencer is available on all the current versions. Look at what you get extra in Professional. You get an Addivctive drums with just one kit, rather than 3, alternatively, scroll down this page to see what expansion kits you could get for session drummer at a later date. https://shop.cakewalk.com...atalog/category.60469/ I'm not sure if as a SONAR LE owner you are counted as a an owner entitled to a upgrade price. it does say here 'I own any other SONAR' then

I'm not sure that's right. Music Creator is $49.99 and it may be that upgrading from Sonar Le to Artist is also $49.99 (if it counts as having a Sonar Version)

Your right! Because I have a registered copy of LE, the upgrade price is - AU$ 59.00 that's great news I'll do that and see how I get on. Q: Will I be able to install it on my laptop as well as my PC?

You may install any Cakewalk DAW on both your laptop and PC. The only restriction is you may not run the software on both machines at the same time.
