u-he has announced the release of Hive for Windows and Mac OS X (VST2, AU and AAX formats - 32 & 64-bit).
Hive is a modern digital synthesizer built for speed, flexibility and low CPU usage. Whether you are creating surreal soundscapes, stomping basses or smooth pads, Hive is designed to deliver the goods with a minimum of fuss - whatever your style of music.

  • Single page user interface.
  • 2700 presets.
  • UI resize, from 70% to 200% in 10% steps.
  • 3 synth engine characters (Normal, Dirty, Clean).
  • 2 main oscillators, 2 sub-oscillators.
  • Up to 16x unison per oscillator.
  • 2 multimode filters (LP, HP, BP, BR or Peak).
  • Flexible oscillator and filter routing.
  • Solo buttons for individual oscillators and filters.
  • Arpeggiator, step sequencer.
  • 12-slot modulation matrix, 2 targets per slot.
  • Drag & drop modulation assignment.
  • Create, save and load individual panel presets.

    Go get it now... This is one monster of a VA plug-in. I prefer this to a sample based synth any day 
     
    My current Hive project is currently running at 15 instances and CPU  core 1 is still below half way...

    it is pretty sweet... after all the cpu Urs stuff it is quite amazing and cpu doesn't even blink...
