Fifa ... what a dork says Bugs Bunny
Hi,
So, you make sure the "election" takes place, and then say see you manana amigos!
Ciao! Amigos!
This time, however, he was not able to eliminate his opponents like he did last time, by forcibly selling them out on the streets, and many of those ghosts have come back to haunt him! Not that we wanted some of those previous crooks as the leaders, either!
They have been a corrupt thing for many years, even more so before Sepps' days with the Brazilian guy ... whose job was to make sure that Latin America got to see the world game a little bit more ... but with the advent of the African nations and Eastern nations, it meant that 2 more cycles (8 years) would now have to be factured in, and I do not think that Europeans were happy with that, since they were the rich folks that "owned" the game, and created FIFA! Having to share it with others, is not something they wanted, but had to, do.
The first thing they need to define for themselves, is the age old thing that the money rules the game and its specific teams, that have no competition with the lowly folks in their "leagues", who are consistently insulted and beaten into submission! And no chance for them to ever become bigger and better ... which all of a sudden might explain so many revolts in those countries these days ... it's about the power and others want some of it!
And FIFA has no answer to that!
In some ways, one of the better solutions is the worst one. Add 4 teams to the CUP and dissolve the conglomerations, and state that a vote representing all the same "group/federation" is illegal, and each country votes for their own choice. One side effect of this is that any "corruption" will cost a lot more ... way more ... because now you don't pay one individual but 10 or 15 or 20! Which will make it all way HARDER to cover!
I also think that in about 8 to 10 years time, there is going to be a huge turnaround and issue with the media ... and at that time STREAMING will be way more important than cable television and radio and I think that means one venue is going to close down and the money is going to drop, and more money can probably be made in the streaming side of things, with one issue ... half of the African countries might not see a single game for another 10 years, or even the worst places in Latin America, because no one has money to have the Internet ... and the TV service is too expensive to be useful and no longer as viable as streaming is!
Well, you can go around the world through the left or the right side ... cable media believes you can only do this one way and that it will be like that forever! FIFA is gonna get caught right down the middle of this when Manchester United and Manchester City realize they can make twice the money selling streaming around the world during the game, and will immediately start closing down their TV contracts! AND, to boot, FIFA won't be able to find out how much of that money was stolen and not reported as income!
Wonderful times ahead, FIFA ... wish you luck!
