Wrong size for Virtual Keyboard on my laptop

My laptop runs 8.1 and has a 1366x768 touchscreen.
The keyboard sizes itself a little too big:

I assume you have the latest "Everett" release; it has a fix where the Virtual Controller now displays correctly in high DPI settings. If you're still having issues, tech support needs to know about this...

I wonder if it is due to the screen not meeting the minimum height requirement yet somehow still fitting completely on the screen. Could that exaggerate the width by about 5%?

In this thread Keith says it uses a fixed size window, so if it's too big for your screen, it's too big and a problem report needs creating to get them to make it adjustable.

Yes, I have Everest and my laptop is a pretty standard size screen.
1366x768 is pretty common. It's not a High DPI, about 100 dpi I think.
Really nothing unusual about it, which is what I thought strange about this problem.
I'll write up a trouble ticket and post back later.

That was in answer to my first post on this topic.

Well, at least a keyboard that big should handle the low notes pretty well.

It's actually a pretty low definition. Sonar minimal screen requirement is 1280 x 800 with 1920x1080 recommended.

Most notebooks today have 1600x900 or 1920x1080 definition. Mine has 3200x1800 for 15" and is considered a high-dpi screen, and that's where you have scaling problems with scaling-unaware applications.

Anyhow the virtual keyboard  shouldn't be to hard to fix if it was designed as a vector object. Surely it's not that bad though so long as you can press the keys and get the corresponding note?

I have my 15" laptop display set to 1366 x 768 and the virtual keyboard fits with a lot of room to spare running Everett.
