Audio Snap question.
Hi guys, I think there is some sort of bug in audio snap in sonar x3e. When I open audio snap in a project, it gives me transient markers every 1/8 note even if there's nothing there and regardless of the percentage I have set. I was gonna use it on drum tracks that I've bounced down to audio but that were done with AD2. I was gonna layer some sounds in a mix I'm doing. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks guys.

If the drums were bounced from AD2 couldn't you use the original Midi as the source triggers for layering rather than audio snap?

ha ha ha, So simple, How foolish I feel right now. I'll just go back to the project I saved before I bounced the drum tracks to audio and do exactly that. Thanks Karyn.

Sometimes it takes a simple mind to point out the obvious

I see your using sonar Platinum, Do you recommend the upgrade, I'm kinda scared to do it cos I've a lot of projects on the go right now, and I find X3e really stable, Not sure what I will gain from upgrading.

The big toys you'll gain so far are Vocal Align (for syncing different vocal takes) and Drum Replacer (for doing EXACTLY what you were asking about in this thread). Have a look at the DR videos posted on the site. There are multitudes of other additional content goodies, and loads of general workflow improvements. It appears to be just as stable as X3e.

I'm thinking of doing the monthly payment but I don't have my studio pc connected to the internet, Would that be a problem for monthly activation?

No, there is an offline installation option which effectively works the way you're used to. (slightly different, but still easy) Edit: You'd have to remember to re-authorise it each month to prevent it from downgrading to demo mode, but I believe it reminds/warns you in advance.
