Here's a rough demo of an intro I still have to mix.

Indeed... A good start there. Where is it going? At the front of what exactly?

I look forward to the next instalment

I had a listen to a few more of your tracks, just to hear what you do, and I like it

    cheers

Yeah, I listened to a few more tracks, too! You are a pretty talented guy I'd say. I just heard about five or so pieces, and from that admittedly small sample, I'd say there is some very impressive soundtrack stuff.

I wondered what preamp you were using to record your synths? Are you recording synths, or working with synths "in the box?" "Cloudburst" for example sounded impressively clean, and I would guess "in the box?"

On the piece you posted, you labeled it "unmixed" so comments about how you might cut out some low end from your reverb return probably are not helpful. :)

great work! impressive! thanks for the share . . .

    cheers,
    -Tom

Rimshot- The piece Daydream intros is already done...I just didn't know it needed an intro until I started playing around. Nothing I create is on purpose, they all grow out of improv, that's why I'm surprised I get anything done at all ;)

Andy- I'm working on my first album and Daydream is going to be the into for a piece I have already completed. I'm about halfway through recording and for now am just dumping those project folders into a Ready to Mix folder. I want to mix everything at the same time...hopefully I'll get a more consistent mix this way ;)
Tom- When I first started seriously recording in the box I used my hardware synths almost exclusively but as the quality of VSTis have vastly improved I find myself working almost completely in the box now other than some patches on a Vintage Synth expansion card I have in my Roland JV-1000. I hear you on the low end, it does tend to bury the "melody", I'm hoping to fix it in the mix :)

For the longest time I created music for my pleasure only...a couple of years ago I decided to try and derive some income from my hobby and it's moving at a snail's pace but I've got my fingers crossed that finishing this album will be the first step. I thought about trying to break into soundtrack work but decided it wasn't for me, I need artistic freedom. I own a couple of dotcoms that I will use as the artist site and label site...everything is waiting on the finish of the album. Ok, enough boring stuff, thanks for the comments, you can't put a pricetag on constructive criticism :)

    Thanks again,
    Bill

Yep but since you said it was a rough mix, I was encouraging you to finish it.
