Eleanor Rigby-remixed and remastered-and now added some electronic noise
Ok I've finally got around to starting my remixing and remastering prokject...basically going through the archives and fixing everything. I've learnt a lot over the last 15 years of being an engineer and producer...none more than in the last few months. This track, which was completed in 2011 is a cover of Eleanor Rigby. I used Notion 3 for all the strings, which was transcribed from The Complete Beatles Scores, I've gone back and placed the main vox not so far on the right...which was a complaint from listeners last time. I've also cleaned up the mix...quite a lot. Alice is on vocals. Ben Edit...I've gone back and added some electronic noises to help fill the track...and slowed it down with varispeed https://thedigitalpoet55.wordpress.com/2015/06/09/eleanor-rigby-5/

Hi Ben, I never heard the previous mix, but those vocals still sound a bit too far to the right. Or it may be that they just need to come down in volume slightly. Take my comment with a pinch of salt because I'm no expert... I'm simply expressing my thoughts as a listener And this may be your desired effect, in which case, nice cover cheers andy

Ah! Right... I never realised that. I've just listened to it on my headphones. Thanks for pointing that out

All good I've actually just gone and panned it a little bit here and there as per your instruction and dipped the highs...just. Ben

the vocals are too far right... Even if the original was that way... not liking that at all... plus the strings are off key , not even close to the original..could be your slowing down with vari speed has changed the pitch too much.
Whoa.... to you ...oh...earth and sea... for the devil sends the beast with wrath..... because he knows the time is short..... let him who hath understanding..... reckon the number of the beast..... for it is a human number... it`s number is..... 666 So if JESUS rose from the DEAD Does that mean he`s the ORIGINAL ZOMBIE?

I kinda like this, Ben. I admire all those who walk on cherished ground. I like her voice, and the way you created your own arrangement without mangling it. I hear the strings as being dissonant, but in a way that fits the mood of the song. I'll listen a few more times and let this settle in, but good first impression.
