Hi Gary, I've just been playing both versions side by side and I can't tell the difference. I'm quite embarrassed about that to be honest because I'm pretty sure it's because my ears are "$"&^£ beyond repair... Too much heavy metal over the years. Hopefully someone with fully functioning ears will be along shortly cheers andy

After listening to your music Andy, I would've NEVER thought you were a Heavy Metal fan. BTW, I like it. Gary, I'll give yours a listen shortly.

Hi Andy lol nufin wrong with blowing the ears m8 especially when her indoors is talking 😂😂 The changes are quite subtle.... removed sum of the shaker.. More revert on vocals... Beafed up the strings & added Tl 64 Tube leveller to a lot of tracks

LOL! Yeah... Now I get it! At 1:17 ish the shaker has gone, and I never noticed that I should concentrate more... Mesh After listening to your music Andy, I would've NEVER thought you were a Heavy Metal fan.
Yeah... Funny that... I'm usually listening to Slipknot or Meshugga, or something from my Prog collection My missus also cannot understand how such a miserable bar steward like me can write such happy music.

That's one hell of a compliment Gary, so thanks for that. I dunno... I have been making my MIDI music for something like twenty years (I bought my first MIDI oriented soundcard, a Sound Blaster with Wave Blaster add on in 1994). In that time I've done plenty of reading and learned a whole bunch of stuff. My EQ post in the Techniques forum shows that I'm still learning today and hopefully to the benefit of at least the quality of my sounds, if not my music LOL. cheers andy

Interestingly, I actually saw Slipknot when they were the opening act for MegaDeth (still one of my favs......back in the 90's I think). Yes I also agree, your mixes are very clear & clean Andy. You should do a Heavy Rock/Metal song and see what comes out. :)) Gary, I didn't get to hear the original, but the remix sounded very nice on my H-phones. Good stuff mate!!

Sounding good here... Nice clear mix, everything is separated well. I think your arrangement helps with that.

I think you improved this, Gary. I may be biased. I really relate to your music.
