[Solved] question about Digital Sound Factory packs in My Account
I visited My Account to get the Everett extra update. I noticed some DSF packs had been put in My Account in mid June, like a couple days ago. They didn't seem familiar to me, and I can't recall hearing about them. Synthesizer Rage, Dance Tools. I've now downloaded them. I was just wondering if I had missed the cue on those from an earlier announcement, or if someone can fill me in.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Nope - but they installed into my Rapture. I just stumbled into seeing them there. Very glad to have found them, and psyched I have them now. I just wasn't aware of them being part of an update. Happy Platinum customer.

Hmm I never installed Dim Pro or Rapture - still red traffic light. Was already installed before. Is it under the "Rapture" synth then in CCC?

So is this just Lawa? (In which case I suggest they were registered to your 'My Products' previoulsy(?) ... and ya didn't know it(?)) Here's what I'm seeing: (Note: I was a prior owner via the Digital Sound Factory Electronica Ignited Bundle - no longer available through the Cakewalk Store). They appear to have been updated to 'My Products' and hence CCC on 6/10/2015. That's also when I applied the 2.0.1.(159) Rapture Pro patch - which could be a coincidence. They are showing in CCC as separate DSF items - red lighted (uninstalled). I don't recall them having been there before(?) However - I do have them already installed to my prior Rapture install, which I have linked manually to Rapture Pro (thus they work and avoid duplicates). On a secondary note ... and one I may get little sympathy for ... not looking for it ... just in the interest of honest 360 degree feedback ... If Cakewalk are gifting historic payware across the board then as existing paid owner i feel: a. Like I've missed out on freebie b. That the product and my ownership have been devalued I'd get over it ... But it's tough to please everyone all the time :P BTW: DSF Electronica Ignited bundle includes: - Synthesizer Rage - Dance Tools and - Synth Resource .... Did you get that one too?

I got the Electronica Ignited Bundle myself way back, plus heaps of others, I forget the actual chronology of it all, but I was one of the fools who pre purchased Rapturd Pro, so I guess I would have installed it the day of release, and I believe that the legacy expansion packs that you had in your account were at that time promoted to 'connected' products and made available via ccc. I had the 3 from Electronica Ignited and Galbanum and some others show up at that time also, however I have quite a few packs that don't, and that's just because I have been to lazy to have Cakewalk look into why they didn't come across in my account around the change over. Would I care if they were now giving away stuff to people for free that I had paid for years ago ? Not really, good luck to them, and it's Cakes and DSF's products, they can do what they want with them, it's a bit like if I paid full price for something then someone else got it for a song down the track a bit, luck of the draw, who cares, good for them. I think (not sure) you get Rapture and Dim Pro for free now with Sonar ? I purchased them separately years ago . . . no big deal. Probably somewhere down the track Rapturd Pro will be given away for free with Sonar or whatever it is called then, at least they might have a correctly functioning out of the box product that doesn't require end user effort to get it to work as it should have, if so good luck to them as well.

The updated Rapture Pro is playing a lot more nicely on my system now. It does take a while to load and the absence of a progress bar is slightly disconcerting as I don't know what it's doing, but it does load up eventually (less than a minute)

I don't have the two Packs you mentioned lawa. But I do have some packs that I did purchase a while back that are now showing up. About 3 - 4 weeks ago I noticed that I had DSF Proteus expansion pack. But the only way to install it or use it was to have the Proteus Pack, which I knew I bought. So I call CW CS and they got it fixed. Now all the DSF stuff I got through the CW store is showing up.

Hmm. You're right. I keep my installers all pretty tidy. I went back into my Installers history from Digital Sound Factory and actually did pick them up more than a year ago. Must have been one of those $20 sales and forgot about them existing. Call off the dogs, nothing to see here.

I have a pack under Rap Pro as well it dates back to 2007 so it's been moved across from my store account to things that CCC can see.
