Audio samples of crowd noises?

Hi all,

I'm working on a song and I'd long to intersperse some crowd noises like it's being played live. Does anyone know of a good sample library for this?

thanks!

Ughhh....I can't post the links (the software bot is deleting)...

I tried PM them to you James......not sure if you got it or not though.

Anyway, you can Google Crowd Chamber, Fxpansion Clapomatic, and freesounds (dot) org.

There is a selection in AudioEase Speakerphone 2 that lets you put in crowd noise.  I don't know of any sample libraries.

there should be some public domain audience noise out there, but I don't know of any off hand.

Record your own with your cellphone or something! :)

Also YouTube and you might have a few live recordings you might wanna nick, I've worked with a few big bands which (cough) sampled the crowd from other people's live albums. No I'm not telling. And don't try this at home kids..

Yeah, that's good.  I've had a to do item on my list to find sounds like that myself.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Freesound is a good place I use sometimes. That Crowd Chamber one looked neat till I actually heard it. Suppose can't complain because it's free but it sounds terrible.

Yeah I checked a few out and they are pretty bad. When I get a few more minutes to really dig in I'm hoping to find a jewel or two...

Not a sample, but I used an ocean drum and a ton of delay on a song to get, well ocean sounds. About half of the people that heard the song said, "where'd you record that crowd noise, a football game?" Uggh. But still..
