Sonar Plat and XLN Audio taking twice as much needed space on the system drive!

They're using twice the storage they should, and they're not the only one. How do we get this precious storage back?

If you used the Command Center to install and did not relocate the download path on the Command Center settings page, the installers are stored in "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads"

The installers may be deleted or stored elsewhere and the Command Center settings page may be adjusted to store installers elsewhere.

Thanks. The XLN Audio has a path changer as well. But this is an issue that needs to be addressed at the installer level.

I guess CW could add an option to delete the installers after they run. There is an on-going discussion about the next version of the installer here http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3213876

Until it changes, you can delete or move the installers once SONAR is installed. If the Command Center needs an installer and it cannot find it in the download path, the program will download it again.

As far as XLN audio is concerned, the installer is very flexible allowing you to place the files anywhere you choose.

Did any of you look at the image? the main issue isn't that the installers are downloaded to the c drive. the issues is that the same files are in two different location on the SAME drive for no good reason.

I haven't checked it... But it might be something to do with rollback. I notice however NI installers don't need to keep the setup files when rolling back though.
