A minor! I've not moved away from E major yet... I'm working on it though (you think I'm joking don't you?)

He is using The Magic Band tuning.... Catfish Mask Replica lol.

He is actually good at this! Anyone born in 1952 can't be all bad... 'sides, he has 31 albums out. I love his outfit too! When I was in the 8th/9th grade I was big on wearing plaid shirts and striped pants or checkered and plaid...

HA! I wuz right... I clicked on the next video about his oddball guitars and he mentions seeing Captian Beefheart and The Magic Band then going out and buying the TELE he is showing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C65KR62qhqE&feature=player_embedded (You really should watch this one too!) I love people who play outside the norm, but you can see in this vid that he can play blues and other stuff... I bet he can play anything he wants to play. He nails that half cocked wah Zappa on one clip.
I be happy!! Someone new and different for me to listen to!! I get SO bored listening to the same old same old all the time and when I find something different that I really like I have to be careful because I listen to it so much that I hit a point where I have to stop because I've listened so much that everytime I listen again it gets stuck in my head for like a week. I did that with Monks of Doom, now I have to be careful about playing their albums because they just take over my inner music... I think Henry will do that.

I really like this, thanks for posting it. I somehow missed him. I checked... he is on Spotify, (along with Karyn)  I am now a "follower".

Yeah, I watched his next vid too... It was immediately obvious that he was just messing around in that first vid

Jeesh. This guy is an enigma to me. I tried to get through the posted video (9:19) twice now. I only succeeded on the second try because I was listening in the background while typing this. I guess if you like avant garde or experimental music, then he might fit into your interest realm. I don't. I have troubles when people go into the 'dark' side of music. The curiosity factor it produces may be considered 'art' to some. But I prefer to take a pass and listen to something that makes me feel good.

I checked out some of his other YouTube video postings, and as far as a guitar player goes, he is mediocre at best. On one he plays a couple blues tunes on acoustic guitar and it shows that he has some abilities to play a melodic instrument. Nothing earth-shattering, but he can play (unlike the what he does on the posted video). But most of the stuff I am hearing would put me to sleep, or cause me to walk out of a concert early (especially the posted video, and even the work he did with a band). I will give him some consideration though regarding the one video where he shows off his collection of guitars. He has a lot of collected stuff.

Weird stuff. Just not my cup o' tea.
