For me the content is chockablock full of clever examples of how to use what's already there to do new and useful stuff I wouldn't have thought about. There's value there even if you don't use the presets.

I think one of the major things missing from Sonar is a decent sampler / Drum rack where you can easily build your own kits.  I know you can use your own samples in Sessdion Drummer but something like the drum racks in Ableton with the MPC style pads would be great

I enjoy finding all the little fixes and enhancements. I keep going on about Mix Recall. What an incredible piece of thinking that created this feature. So simple in thought and elegant in its execution but what an incredibly powerful tool.

I can't stop finding reasons for using it and ways to enhance my workflow with it. It goes together with screen sets so that the whole becomes greater than the sum of the parts.

If we could get defined regions that could be moved around like objects and listed in the browser and reordered and played at will, I think Sonar would be complete.

They can't get too carried away or they will have to change the name from Sonar to HAL.

I have to say that Sonar Platinum has been a very
worthwhile investment.  It just keeps on getting better,
even without all the "added" things, just the overall
feature improvements during the course of Platinum
has been outstanding, both in terms of usefulness, and
in terms of value added.

My hat is off to Cakewalk, Noel and the boys, and everyone
that has obviously done of a lot of work to get these things
implemented, and to Craig for his continued presence and
contributions to both the Forum and the Product.

Compared to Pro Tools, which hasn't had a single update
really since the release of V12 8 months ago, even though LOTS of new
features were "promised", I think Cakewalk has delivered
on every front, and I sure hope that the Industry takes note
of this and makes a paradigm shift towards it...

Great job guys...and you're only half way through the year!
(the REAL question is "how are you going to top what you've already done? )

Yeah.....what Larry said.....great job guys, keep up the good work!
