Problem with Quick Groups and the Console Emulator??
I'm having trouble with using quick grouping and the console emulator... Specifically I can't seem to change the console type. I know I have done this before and must just be missing something. I can however get the rest of the effect to operate as expected--The trim/gain/tolerance knobs all move across all my tracks... just not the type. Anyone else?

Well, here's something weird. I encountered this problem once before, so thought I'd chime in to confirm. But when I tried it just now on a project, it worked fine. I'm not sure what caused the difference. I'll check this going forward in projects to see if there's some particular set of circumstances that precludes changing type, and if so, then I can submit something reproducible for the Bakers to investigate.

Thanks Craig.
Certainly can't see any rhyme or reason on my end... (And the problem I mentioned is happening too, lol)

It has worked for me at times but just yesterday I was setting up a mixing session (~30 tracks) and was having all kinds of oddities when trying to make changes to the Console Emulator settings across a quick group. I was in a hurry so I didn't really document the situation but it was irritating. Ended up having to make changes to quite a few individual tracks in order to accomplish my task. I'll definitely keep an eye on this moving forward! It's nice to hear that I am not the only one who has bumped into this!

But of course when I try to make it not work, it works.

I came across this a few weeks ago. I was too busy to report it at the time but quick grouping the CE's definitely did NOT work, for any of their controls.

Anderton But of course when I try to make it not work, it works.
Craig, maybe my findings might explain the inconsistency. I found that if I add several tracks and immediately try to quick group any of the Console Emulator's (CE) controls before quick grouping the Enable button that the quick group fails. If I quick group the Enable button first and then quick group other controls, then quick group works as intended. Adjusting controls on the CE module does not appear to automatically enable it. Other Pro Channel modules automatically enable when changing a control any of the modules controls. I did not check Sonar versions prior to Platinum Everett, so this may or may not be a new behavior. -- Ron EDIT: Of course after I wrote this, I loaded an older project created in X2 and CE quick grouping did not work at all.
