  • Each EQ band can be bypassed.
  • Warm, open and analog sound.
  • Analog style modelled saturation: LINE and MIC.
  • Supported platforms: VST 2.4, VST 3.0, AU, AAX, and RTAS.
  • Zero latency for realtime usage.

Dang you, Sonimus!  There's another sixty bucks I'll have to shell out for plugins.

Just playing with the demo a bit, I could instantly hear the classic gritty 1073 sound.  That preamp emulation -- only the latest UAD 1073 can compete, I'd say (that one's on sale right now, too -- for a cool $199!).  Love cranking the mic input on rock vocals, snares, and anything else that could use some dirt.

The demo version is apparently not CPU-optimized, but I'm seeing usage already well below rivals like IK and Scheps.  How do they do that?

Looks like a winner to me.  Well done, Sonimus!

    Cheers,

Haven't tried it yet, already have several 1073's but worth checking out.
His SonEQ  is a little gem too.

BTW Eddie, have you tried it with Alex B's Neve console using the groups or 2 buss instances?

The Burnley is worth getting just for the preamp modeling.  Nothing but the UAD comes close.

When sound, price, and efficiency are considered, I think we have a new 1073 king.  I have yet to directly compare the Sonimus plug to the UAD, but plan to shortly.

My current default console emulation for group buses and the master bus is AlexB's MFC.  Dunno if there's any special synergy going on, but I have been listening to the Burnley through that.  Between these and UAD's 88RS, I'm in Neve-ana!  (Sorry, old joke.)

    Cheers,
