Is the latest version stable?

I have X3 running, and am quite happy with it.  I don't necessarily need the new features, but 149 clams (on sale) seems reasonable.  My main concern, as with many of the forum folks is stability uber alles.   So, in terms of stability, how do you folks find the latest version(s) when compared with x3?
Thanks!

Win7 64 bit, I&-3770, two hard drives, 16 gigs ram, MOTO 24i with PCI 424 card.

For me stability has seen continuous improvement with every update. YMMV.

It's been great for me. Moreover, more stuff gets fixed every month, and if an update does break something you use, it's easy to roll back until they fix it. Which to date has been handled very well. There were some bugs in the E update that got fixed in a mid-month update before the new F update.

If you're happy with X3's stability that indicates a strong possibility your system is SONAR-friendly, in which case the new version should work just fine. Overall there have been hundreds of fixes between X3 and SONAR 2015. Of course some are for features you may not use, but the sheer number will probably improve at least some of what you do.

I'm gonna be a dill and say overall with the versions of Platinum I've actually installed (Braintree and Dorchester) that there has been a SLIGHT bit more of lagginess/glitchiness compared to the very last release of X3 BUT the new features and bug fixes MORE than make up for that... and I cannot stress this enough... VERY slight notch down in performance.

By that I mean Platinum makes the computator shiny light thing seem to "think" a little longer than it used to... and we are talking seconds and milliseconds here. Not anything really noticeable unless you are a hyper aware spazzoid like me.

Those seconds I am losing have been far more than made up with by some very specific bug fixes and enhancements though that make my personal workflow much easier.

Essentially Platinum is X3 Producer but better... but a little more self conscious and shy. This new update though may solve that bit of lag/quirkiness (and perhaps Everett would have as well which I also did not install).

    Cheers.

    For $149... do eeeeeet!

Impressed with all releases except Everett when coming to general performance and reliability. Hopefully F will put that to bed but will probably wait for further feedback from these forums before I install.

I've had my fair share of complaints about Platinum but in terms of pure reliability it crashes barely 1/10th as often as X3 did.

The stability with Sonar has been great! Computers & software/firmware do have there day. Most of the time
it's "Very Enjoyable" and great workflow.
