CCC DP, combined accounts, and no current DP serial number
DP installed fine. But CCC did not get updated. It is still yellow and displays 1.5.5.13. I found the D-Proinstall_1.5.5.14.exe in the download folder and installed again. The CCC still shows .13. So I open DP and it is requesting my registration code. Maybe the problem.

So, I attempt to add the registration code but NO JOY. So I go to my products in the store and find DP near the top. It has the same serial number but the registration code is deemed unworthy. I check the date and the DP listed near the top is dated 2012, adjacent with the most recent items. So, I scroll down a bit and find the DP dated 2014, that I purchased with X3. I attempt to copy the serial number but cannot. I cannot change the number. I am not going to run the CCC install again to download a 4 gig file that I already have on my computer. How do I fix this?

And so I decide to click the registration button. A browser page is opened, I click register and am informed the product is already registered to a DIFFERENT USER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is because I am logged into the forum with my FORUM ID and not the stupid single log in ID. Another example of this having been a bad idea.

And now I look at the products associated with this ID, which has never been used to purchase any CW products, not associated with any CW product and find a complete list of the products I have purchased using a different ID that has NEVER been connected. This is disturbing. So, not only does the CCC not put files where I want, somehow it has combined my accounts. I am way unhappy. And am now sure the security issues I raised about the single login were real.

We ended up pulling the Dimension Pro 1.5.5.14 update due to issues reported with it's compatibility and our forthcoming Cakewalk Command Center 1.1 update. This is why it is not available to anyone anymore. We're working on a new build that will address this. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused! YouDontHasToCallMeJohnson And so I decide to click the registration button. Your "YouDontHasToCallMeJohnson" is a Cakewalk Single-Sign On Id. I can see it has no product ownership though. So, if you're signed in with that account and you attempt to register a serial number to it, it is going to tell you exactly what you saw. I'm not sure how this is a problem. It's doing exactly what it should by not letting you register a serial number to multiple accounts. I don't know what your other Id is so it's hard for me to assist. Essentially most people encounter registration issues with Dimension Pro by needing elevated privileges. Try launching it by first launching SONAR as an administrator (right-click, run as administrator). This should allow the code to be accepted.

Your YouDontHasToCallMeJohnson account does not have any product ownership associated with it. Can you help clear up what you're experiencing? It sounds like there's some confusion going on.

So, I uninstall DP. I then run the current installer. I enter my 2014 serial number. When installed I attempt to register and am informed the numbers are not sufficient. This figgers, as the numbers for the 2015 installation have been updated. But where are the current ones listed? How can I install the current version of DP without installing the file from last year and running another 5 hour download to get the files I already have just so the CCC can have its way?

Can you PM me your user account name that has your product ownership associated with it so I can look up your account information?

Your YouDontHasToCallMeJohnson account does not have any product ownership associated with it. Can you help clear up what you're experiencing? It sounds like there's some confusion going on. I just logged out (Johnson), tested with my main account, logged out, and back in with the Johnson and there they are. Just did it again. The display is different, without the images. But they are all listed. And when I attempted to register DP, Johnson was logged in and the registration process assumed the BROWSER login was the one the product was purchased with. I am not happy that a local program that was registered with the correct user ID would be overridden because of the browser login.

I'm not sure how I can assist if we don't break down the specifics on a real simple level here. When you say "register" are you referring to filling out the form at www.cakewalk.com/register ? It sounds like you tried doing this, but it shouldn't be necessary. When a product is registered to you, you never have to do it again. You do have to authorize your products with the given registration code however. Essentially you just need to match the Serial Number/Registration Code combination as shown in your My-Account Products list. I can see you have a few instances of Dimension Pro. I'd just try matching up the Registration Code with the displayed serial number when authorizing Dimension Pro. Again, make sure you're running SONAR as an administrator or it will reject the code. More information can be found here: http://www.cakewalk.com/S...using-the-correct-code Cakewalk Command Center and our website both use the same login credentials, however logging in/out of one does not log you in/out of the other. They are separate applications. I can 100% assure you that your YouDontHasToCallMeJohnson does not have any product ownership. What I guess I'm confused about is where you are seeing your other account information. Can you help to clarify? Is it in Command Center?

It is possible IE had some persistence. But I had closed it repeatedly. During this process. I had logged out of Johnson, into the other account, logged out, in with Johnson and the products were displayed from the account page. At this moment Johnson has no products listed. I am sure I was logged into that user. ------------------- I just uninstalled DP and installed again using the serial number as listed in the CCC. I start DP, enter the listed reg code, and am informed code is incorrect. I click the register button, it opens this page: https://www.cakewalk.com/...=CWDM150&sn= [SERIAL NUMBER REMOVED] The serial number in the box is the same as listed in the CCC. I click register and this page is displayed: https://www.cakewalk.com/Register"""This serial number has already been registered but it appears to be registered to another customer. """ Johnson is listed as being logged in. So this indicates to me, the browser login to the website supercedes DP's attempt to display correct registration information. ---------------------- I will now uninstall again. And find the previous update/install and try the codes. And then attempt to install the already downloaded DP .14 file.

Can you clear your browser's cookies? It's very possible that you're hitting the logout option but not being fully logged out. Clearing your cookies should do the trick.

Can we now have multiple identities with Cakewalk and the forum. I thought the single user account thing was supposed to prevent this sort of thing.
